Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Florida

The Torch Run is a state-wide torch run to benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Florida. Each year, over 5,000 officers carry the torch on a 1500-mile relay through 67 counties in Florida.

This event is held each year prior to Special Olympics Florida State Summer Games. The intrastate torch relay will start at the end of March and culminate at the Opening Ceremonies. Officers from around the state join together to bring the Flame of Hope™ into the stadium.

The majority of FCA's Middle School and High School students participated in the local leg of the Torch Run for community involvement, exercise, and most importantly, for a very good cause.  Photos of the 2016 and 2017 events can be seen in the photo gallery on this website.

National School Choice Week

Held every January, National School Choice Week (NSCW) shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for every child.

The goal of National School Choice Week is to raise public awareness of all types of education options for children.  These options include traditional public schools, public carter schools, magnet schools, online learning, private schools, and homeschooling.

Faith Christian Academy joined schools all across the country in getting the word out, informing parents and educators alike that there are far more choices than there are boundaries and limitations when it comes to educating our young people.
